ABOUT MAPLE & MAIN

A nonprofit newsroom covering Burlington since 2019.

OUR STORY

In 2019 the city’s weekly paper printed its last issue. Two reporters and a retired teacher started a free newsletter from a kitchen table on North Street. Neighbors forwarded it. Then they started paying for it.

Today Maple & Main has nine journalists, 2,900 members and one rule: report what matters to Burlington, fairly, for free.
