Singer-songwriter from a small town, living in Nashville, always half on the road.
I learned guitar on my grandfather’s porch, three chords at a time. The fourth chord took a whole summer.
Three albums and two hundred shows later, I still write the same way: a voice memo at 2 a.m., a notebook, and a lot of bad first drafts. My new record, Paper Lanterns, was recorded in my kitchen.
WHY I WRITE
I write the song I needed to hear last year — and hope someone out there needs it this year.IwritethesongIneededtohearlastyear—andhopesomeoneoutthereneedsitthisyear.
