A product designer who believes the best interfaces are the ones you never notice.
I started as a front-end developer, frustrated that beautiful designs kept breaking in real life. So I learned to design — and never stopped caring how things get built.
For ten years I have helped banks, clinics, nonprofits and software teams turn complicated work into calm, accessible products. I work closely with developers, test with real people every week and write everything down.
HOW I THINK
Good design is mostly listening. The pixels are the easy part — understanding the people who will use them is the real work.Gooddesignismostlylistening.Thepixelsaretheeasypart—understandingthepeoplewhowillusethemistherealwork.
