Riding jackets are cut for a forward position, with longer sleeves and a dropped tail. Gloves are sized by hand circumference.

The ride
Cold fingers end rides early. These gloves have a windproof back, a soft fleece lining and a padded, grippy palm that holds the bars even when wet. Below 30 degrees, add a merino liner underneath.
Touchscreen fingertips let you check directions without taking them off, and a reflective strip on the back makes hand signals visible at night.
