Diameter
Place a ring that fits well on a ruler and measure the inside edge to edge, in millimeters.
Circumference
Wrap a strip of paper around the base of your finger, mark where it overlaps and measure the length.
Timing
Measure at the end of the day when fingers are warm. They are smallest in the morning and in cold weather.
